Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of these rules is to make provisions for available and appropriate transportation for Medicaid recipients in order to access medical care, and assure the provision of such transportation when required to obtain medically necessary services covered by the Medicaid Program. These rules supersede the transportation services sections #0300.20.05.30 et. seq. (contained in section #0300 of the Medicaid Code of Administrative Rules entitled “Medical Assistance Program”) last amended on February 27, 2013.
